Dental health

Since I just went to the dentist earlier today, I was especially interested in this article about things I can do to promote dental health (and stop receding gums):

  • Cut down on acidic foods.  (And it's only just recently that I'd discovered the wonder of sauerkraut!  Darn.)
  • Get some activated charcoal for brushing.
  • Don't brush directly after meals (to give enamel time to remineralize).  If I eat something acidic, swish with water and baking soda (to re-balance ph).
  • Supplement with vitamin K2 (a byproduct of bacterial fermentation).
  • Eat liver.
  • Supplement with vitamin D.
