Louis Crompton, Homosexuality and Civilization

I really loved this book and learned so much. Initially, I read it to take notes and find ideas for content on Greece and Rome, but the other chapters were so fascinating, I got sucked into reading about homosexuality in ancient China, in pre-modern Japan, in medieval Europe, the Spanish Inquisition, in the discovery of the New World, in Renaissance Florence, etc.

Here are a couple reviews that sum up the book.
